Pakistan Steel Mills Karachi

Pakistan Steel Mills (PSM) is a state-owned industrial complex located in Karachi, Pakistan. It is one of the largest steel producers in Pakistan and was established with the assistance of the Soviet Union in the 1970s. PSM was designed to produce steel from raw materials, including iron ore, coke, and limestone.

Over the years, Pakistan Steel Mills faced several challenges, including mismanagement, corruption, and outdated technology, which led to financial losses and a decline in production. Despite various attempts to revive the steel mill, including privatization efforts, the complex has been facing severe operational and financial difficulties.

In recent years, the Pakistan government has made efforts to address the issues surrounding Pakistan Steel Mills.
